About
This engaging online (Zoom) workshop series (3 x 2hr sessions) provides the foundational skills for practicing effective behaviour change consultations. The workshops share fundamental Motivational Interviewing (MI) theory but are primarily focused on delivering quality practical learning. The training format includes guided paired exercises in breakout rooms and live demonstrations with attention to real-world scenarios. Attendees reflect on their experiences working with clients and their own personal change process to understand what works and what does not when it comes to helping clients change and grow. The workshop series encapsulates the essence of MI by valuing the experiences, ideas, and autonomy in learning of the participants.Date
