Paint Like The Impressionists in Oil and/or Acrylic (T1.26)
For the following painting classes, stretching over six weeks, participators will study the paintings of a number of Impressionist painters. Examples of paintings by Renaissance artists the likes of Claude Monet and Pierre-August Renoir will be up for visual analysis and discussion. Other artists recognized for their Impressionistic paintings will also be on show, such as Camille Pissarro, Alfred Sisley and Berthe Morisot. Painters that are even more modern like the so-called post-Impressionists Cezanne, Gauguin and Vincent van Gogh and so on can also be referenced. This list remains open ended as it is hoped that participators will put forward their own suggestions.
The first four sessions will take the format of participators making copies of the Impressionist Masters. The last two sessions, culminating in a painting based upon the style of a particular artist will, chosen by the participator in consultation with the Tutor.
Please purchase and bring your own materials once the course is confirmed to proceed (1 week before the first class).
