Draw Like The Masters (T1.26)
During this series of guided lessons, learners will look at the drawings of a number of master artists. Examples of drawings by Renaissance artists like Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo will be offered. Other artists recognized for their drawing skills will also be on show, such as the French classicist Dominique Ingres as well as his nemesis, the great Romantic Eugene Delacroix. But then, even more modern artists like Cezanne, Gauguin, Toulouse Lautrec, Picasso and so on will be referenced as ‘master artists’. This list remains incomplete and individual participators will put be able to put forward other possible options.
The first four sessions will take the format of participators making copies of the master drawings. The last two sessions, culminating in individual drawings based upon the style of a particular artist will, chosen by the participator in consultation with the Tutor.
Please purchase and bring your own materials once the course is confirmed to proceed (1 week before the first class).
