Bay of Plenty Music School 17-18 April 2026, Whakatane
About
BREAKING NEWS - In large part due to impact of the uncertainties and rising costs caused by the US-Iran war on enrolments and the Bay of Plenty Music School's budget the Host Committee has regretfully decided to scale back the event to a Choir-only weekend with Conductor Christine Argyle on the Friday and Saturday, 17 & 18 April to be held at the Church of St George & St John, 30 Domain Road, Whakatane. If you are a chorister, you can continue to enrol up to Sunday 12 April. If you are an ORCHESTRA or WIND BAND musician PLEASE DO NOT ENROL. We look forward to seeing you next year in hopefully less challenging times. Orchestra and Wind Band musicians who have already enrolled will receive a full refund of their registration fee.
Join us for a wonderful weekend in Whakatane filled with outstanding music making.
The Bay of Plenty Music School normally caters for choral, orchestral and concert band musicians from secondary school students through to retirees. It provides an excellent opportunity for musicians and choristers to improve their skills in a collaborative atmosphere under the direction of leading experts in their field.
Early bird registration discounts automatically apply at check-out for all participants who enrol between Feb 1st and March 23rd.
