Join two of Aotearoa’s most acclaimed performers Robin Yablind & Ginger Velour for our advanced course, Solo Development! Create and fine tune your own solo burlesque act, and then perform at The Velvet Haven Student Showcase on May 31st at The Fringe Bar!During six 90-minute classes you will:
-Cultivate your unique persona and artistic voice
-Build confidence as a performer
-Collaboratively workshop your act
-Gain insider insights into the industry
-Learn strategies for securing performance opportunities
-Establish goals for continued growth
-Receive 1-on-1 guidance from Robin or Ginger
Burlesque thrives on individual expression; thus, this course refrains from providing choreography or costumes. Instead, it empowers you to develop your act—with essential guidance. This will require your investment of time outside of class, too.
Tailored for aspiring performers, completion of our Beginners Course or prior experience is required.
When: Friday evenings, 5.30pm - 7pm
Dates: Starting 24th April, for 6 consecutive weeks
Location: Empire Aerial Arts on Cuba Street.
