2026 Mayoral Welcome to International Students of HB

This is an official welcome ceremony for all new international students of Hawke's Bay by Mayor Wendy Schollum of Hastings District Council and Mayor Richard McGrath of Napier City Council. There will be councilors, officers, teachers and international students from local councils and schools attending this event so it's a great opportunity to connect with others and to expand your network. There will also be speeches, performances, morning tea and networking opportunities in this ceremony.Please note that this event is organised by the city councils. Your booking is required for catering and seat allocation purposes. Please book only if you can assure you can attend. Please do not turn up if you did not book. If for any reasons you cannot make it after booking, please inform Song at least 24 hours prior so that your seat can be passed on to others.
