With fuel prices and concerns over a possible global oil shortage, Transporting New Zealand are hosting a Fuel Supply & Pricing Seminar on the 9th of April at the Wellington BNZ Partner's Centre and online.
Hear from energy sector experts Envisory to discuss New Zealand's fuel supply chain and sources of refined fuel; our fuel stockholdings; and monitoring of global commodity price movements. Guest speakers include Steve West from Envisory, and Bryan Chapple from Commerce Commission.
This event is open to both Transporting New Zealander Members and non-members.
Light refreshments will be provided following the presentations.
About Steve West, Director, Envisory
Steve provides clients and joint ventures with practical, commercially focused advice, supported by comprehensive analysis. His extensive knowledge and engineering background allows Steve to offer valuable insights on petroleum sector issues.
Before joining Envisory in 2006, Steve worked in the New Zealand petroleum industry for 15 years. His roles included managing a supply team that controlled both refinery production and petroleum fuel imports, logistics planning and strategy, and procurement of bulk chemicals and packaged lubricants.
About Bryan Chapple, Commissioner, Commerce Commission
Bryan Chapple was appointed as Commissioner in August 2022. Bryan is an experienced economist and senior public sector leader with a strong understanding of the Aotearoa New Zealand economy and the role of regulation. He was previously the Deputy Secretary (Growth and Macroeconomics) at the New Zealand Treasury, where he led the Treasury’s work on micro- and macro-economic policy, including regulatory strategy. He holds an honours degree in economics from Victoria University of Wellington.
