Each September, Canterbury Soul Club presents its premier event—the Canterbury Soul Weekender. Now in its fourth year, 2026 is gearing up to top them all.Weekend passes cover all three events—Friday through to Sunday—bringing you top-quality soul across two standout Christchurch venues.
With DJs from across New Zealand and Australia spinning vinyl rare soul in all its forms—from the classic sounds of 60s and 70s Northern Soul and Motown, through to modern soul grooves of the 70s and 80s—expect nothing but dancefloor fillers all weekend long.
An unforgettable weekend of music, dancing, and atmosphere from start to finish.

Friday Sept. 4th @ Blue Smoke, The Tannery, 3 Garland Road Woolston Chch ( 7pm – 1am)
Saturday Sept. 5th @ Blue Smoke, The Tannery, 3 Garlands Road Woolston Chch (7pm-1am)
Sunday Sept. 6th @ Engineers Bar, 178 St. Asaph St. Central City Chch. (3pm-11pm)
