Get ready for a night of chaos and comedy in this hilarious play‑within‑a‑play.The well-meaning ladies of the Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society are determined to stage their ambitious whodunit, Murder at Checkmate Manor, but chaos has other plans. Scenery collapses, cues are missed, and lines vanish into thin air, while the sound and lighting seem to have a mischievous mind of their own. Through it all, the cast and distraught stage manager soldiers on, desperately trying to keep their delightfully disastrous mystery from completely unravelling.
A glorious celebration of amateur dramatics done catastrophically well, this is farce at its finest. Laugh‑out‑loud humour where the mistakes are as entertaining as the mystery!
