HINE SHAKTI (SOLD OUT)
About
Hine Shakti is a danced journey celebrating the Sacred Feminine through Indian traditions (Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam, and Kathak), Samoan (Siva dance), and wider Pacific traditions. It brings sacred gesture and song into resonance, weaving the story of life—from birth to rebirth.A living offering, like an embodied prayer, it opens and introduces the first part of the performance by guest artist Swaroopa Prameela Unni, who presents a piece from her repertoire exploring the beauty and power of femininity, love, and playfulness. Drawing from the Sopana musical tradition, her work echoes the rhythms of ritual and the deep cultural roots of Kerala.
Featuring performances by students from the MāyāDharā School of Dance.
