About

Bonjour, Kia ora, Hello

The French New Zealand Chamber of Commerce (FNZCCI) is pleased to present its upcoming Sustainability committee event.

The Climate and Sustainability Forum aims to raise awareness about the importance of sustainability, share best practices implemented by businesses in New Zealand, and inspire participants with thought provoking discussions on circular economy and decarbonisation.

The two panel discussions will be followed by the Climate Drinks organised in collaboration with Team For The Planet. Expect to enjoy French wine and nibbles.

This forum is open to all individuals and businesses in New Zealand interested in environmental issues and climate change, expand their network and exchange ideas. This peer-to-peer forum is also aimed at CEOs and Heads of in charge of Sustainability in their organisation. This event is an exceptional opportunity for French and New Zealand companies to meet like minded organisations, share knowledge and build partnership.

The event will take place at the HSBC Tower in Auckland, from 4pm to 9pm.

Join us for an evening full of insightful discussions and opportunities!

Topics of discussion include: the importance of collaboration between government, businesses, and communities; the potential for new jobs and industries; innovative solutions for reducing waste and increasing resource efficiency; and how to measure and track progress towards a circular economy.

Through sharing insights and experiences, the panel aims to inspire action towards a more sustainable future for New Zealand.

Decarbonisation is a critical issue for New Zealand as the country seeks to meet its climate goals and transition to a low-carbon future. This roundtable discussion brings together industry leaders, innovative organisations, and experts to explore the challenges and opportunities of decarbonising New Zealand's economy.

Topics of discussion include: the role of renewable energy, carbon pricing, and regulation in driving decarbonisation; the potential for innovation and new technologies to support the transition to a low-carbon economy; the importance of community engagement and participation in decarbonisation efforts; and how to ensure a just transition that supports workers and communities affected by the shift away from carbon-intensive industries.
