TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. TRANSFERS
If you’ve booked for an event, but can’t attend, it’s fine for another person to attend in your place as long as you let us know at least 48 hours beforehand.

2. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Should you wish to cancel your booking, no refund will be available, unless applied at our discretion.

3. CHANGES TO CONTENT, POSTPONEMENT AND EVENT CANCELLATION
In the unlikely event of cancellation of this event, our liability is limited to the refund of your booking fee (except in the event of “Acts of God” occurrences as described below).

We may alter the times, dates, and content of this event without notice to you at any time, should circumstances require. Details of any such changes will be published on the Friends of Seatoun School Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61578814786829

4. SPOT PRIZES
In order to claim any spot prize, the winning participant must be present at the prizegiving and be able to evidence their eligibility when called. No prizes may be claimed at any later stage, and no prizes are able to be claimed by persons other than the winning participant. Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferrable, non-refundable and unable to be exchanged for cash.

5. EVENT WAIVER
When entering your child or yourself for the Seatoun Coastal Challenge event you are agreeing to the following event waiver.
• If entering a child, I confirm that I am authorised to enter the child in this event and agree to these terms and conditions for and on behalf of the participant.
• If entering a child Year 8 or under in the 5K event, I confirm that I, or another appropriate adult, will accompany that child around the entirety of the course.
• I accept the conditions of entry in the knowledge that running and walking are inherently challenging activities.
• I understand there are risks, demands and dangers involved in the event, including an uneven hill trail, proximity to steep cliffs, gravel beach track, and road crossings.
• I take full responsibility for my fitness, experience and actions and all personal possessions and equipment during this event.
• I understand that while the organisers have arranged roading controls and other risk mitigation actions around the course, that they cannot be held responsible for the actions of members of the public.
• I agree to keep to the official course, cross roads only at designated and controlled crossings, and follow the directions of the race marshals.
• I understand that in the event of “Acts of God” occurrences such as but not necessarily limited to fire, earthquake, flooding, earth slippage and pandemic that make the event and/or course unsafe, inaccessible or cancelled/postponed because of circumstances outside of the organisers control, the event may be postponed or cancelled without refund.
• I understand I have rights under the Privacy Act 1993 to access and correct any information held about me. I consent to the organisers or suppliers photographing or filming me while taking part in this event. I authorise my name, voice, picture and information on this entry form to be used without payment to me in any broadcast, telecast, promotion, advertising, or any other way pursuant to the Privacy Act 1993.
• I waive and release the event organisers, sponsors and all other persons associated with the event in whatsoever capacity of any liability, claims or damages relating to financial loss, personal injury, loss of or damage to any equipment or any other matter or claim arising from the event.

All issues relating to the sale of tickets and the hosting of their associated event(s) are the responsibility of the “Event Organiser” and not that of TryBooking Pty Ltd (NZBN 94 29 046 296 030).
