Student Information
We’re glad you’re “putting a little class into your life” at Waimea
AGE RESTRICTION
Students must be over the age of 18 years for all courses/workshops except NZ Sign Language and te reo Māori courses where bookings are accepted for College age students with approval.
PAYMENT FOR COURSES
Please make your payment at the time of booking.
COURSES/CLASS CANCELLATION
Courses can only proceed when sufficient bookings are received. When a course is cancelled by the Adult & Community Education Manager due to insufficient bookings, cancellation will be notified be email – usually three days before the course is due to commence.
If a class is unable to be held due to health and safety issues or events beyond our control (eg civil emergency), the class will be cancelled for that night/day and we will endeavour to complete the course content within the remainder of the course or hold additional classes if required, beyond the original planned finish date.
ELIGIBLE REFUNDS
• Students will receive a full refund of fees when a course is cancelled by the Adult & Community Education Manager due to insufficient bookings.
• If you are unable to attend a course and provide at least 48 hours’ notice before the course starts, you will be refunded your fee less a $10 administration charge.
INELIGIBLE REFUNDS
• There is no credit or refund given for classes you miss or classes cancelled due to health and safety issues or events beyond our control (eg civil emergency).
• No refund is given once a course has started. In this situation you cannot transfer your payment to another course.
SMOKING
Smoking is not permitted within school grounds.
COVID-19
All public health measures and Government mandates are complied with by Waimea College and students are required to meet their student obligations.
PARKING
In most cases, parking is available close to classrooms. Please avoid blocking access ways.
TEC SUBSIDY
There may be a TEC subsidy available for this course. The course fee invoiced to you is on the assumption that you are eligible for the TEC subsidy if applicable. Once checked, if this is not the case, you will be invoiced for further payment owing.
COURSE UPDATES
Please be aware that automatic course updates will be emailed to you each term (4 times a year). If you wish to unsubscribe from these email messages, simply reply with “Unsubscribe” in the subject line of your email.
