Terms and Conditions  −  Woody Pig and Deer Hunt 2026

Competition Rules of Entry

1. Entries close at 11.59pm Thursday 28th May and weigh in will be closed at 3pm Sunday31st May 2026.

2. Only paid up and entered competitors are eligible for prizes.

3. Hunting starts at first light on Friday 29th May. Animals to be taken during hours allocated for hunting ONLY.

4. Animals must be weighed in by the competitor and to be on display until the end of prizegiving then taken away afterwards.

5. Pigs must be over 30kg, NO milky udders or any mauled animals will be accepted.

6. Maximum two animals per entry in open section (eg two pigs, two deer, or pig and deer).

7. Maximum two animals per entry in teen section (eg two pigs, two goats, or pig and goat).

8. Animals to have stomach and offal removed.

9. Animals of equal weight, in the event of a tie will be 1st animal weighed in as the winner.

10. NO domestic or frozen animals will be accepted.

11. ALL participants enter at their own risk. The event organisers and all their sponsors shall not be responsible or liable for any injuries or misadventure that may occur during this competition.

12. ALL entrants MUST be present to collect spot prizes (excluding vehicle).

13. The event/competition does not give any competitor any rights to hunt on private or managed land. You MUST have permission to hunt the land the animal came from.

14. NO BYO food or drink on Woodbourne Tavern premises.

15. Major spot prize of 2016 Mitsubishi Triton GLS 4x4 - Winner MUST be over 16years, signwriting MUST stay on vehicle for a minimum of 6 months, winner does not have to be present at prizegiving to claim the vehicle.

AS ALWAYS, THE JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL

NO parking in the supermarket carpark. Parking available around the corner at the sports grounds.
