Terms and Conditions  −  Spike Saturday Session - 11/4/26

Spike Volleyball – Event Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all Spike Volleyball events organised by Ryan Nadakkavukaran operating as Spike Volleyball.

By registering for or attending a Spike Volleyball event, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

For the purposes of these terms, “Spike Volleyball” refers to events organised and operated by Ryan Nadakkavukaran.

1. Participation & Eligibility

Participants must be 14 years of age or older.

Players under 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian.

By joining a Spike Volleyball event, you confirm that you are physically able to participate in volleyball activities and understand the inherent risks involved in playing sport.

Spike Volleyball sessions are designed to be social, inclusive, and welcoming for players of varying skill levels.

2. Health & Safety

Volleyball is a physical sport and participation may involve the risk of injury.

Participants are responsible for their own safety and are encouraged to warm up, play within their limits, and wear appropriate footwear suitable for indoor sports.

Spike Volleyball aims to provide a safe and organised environment; however, participants play at their own risk. Spike Volleyball is not liable for injuries, accidents, or health issues that may occur during events.

Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings. Spike Volleyball is not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged items brought to events.

3. Liability & Indemnity

By attending a Spike Volleyball event, you agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Spike Volleyball, its organiser Ryan Nadakkavukaran, volunteers, and venue partners from any claims, demands, or liabilities arising from participation, including but not limited to injury, illness, or property damage.

Attendance and participation are undertaken entirely at your own risk.

4. Media & Photography Consent

Spike Volleyball events may be photographed or filmed for promotional and community purposes.

By attending a Spike Volleyball event, you grant permission for photography and videography that may include your image to be used by Spike Volleyball for promotional purposes, including social media, websites, and marketing materials.

If you prefer not to appear in photos or videos, please notify organisers before the event begins and reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate your request.

5. Behaviour & Conduct

Spike Volleyball aims to maintain a positive, respectful, and welcoming environment for all participants.

Respectful behaviour toward other players, organisers, referees, and venue staff is expected at all times.

Participants must follow reasonable instructions from organisers and venue staff to help maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.

Spike Volleyball reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, aggressive, or inappropriate. In such cases, no refund will be issued.

6. Attendance & Communication

Players are expected to arrive on time for the start of the session.

If you are unable to attend or expect to arrive late, please notify Spike Volleyball as early as possible. This helps give waitlisted players an opportunity to take the available spot or allows organisers to adjust the game schedule accordingly.

Consistent late arrivals or no-shows may impact a player's ability to secure spots in future sessions, particularly when events reach capacity.

7. Bookings, Refunds & Transfers

All Spike Volleyball tickets are non-refundable.

Tickets are released weekly and spaces are limited. As sessions frequently sell out, purchasing a ticket secures your place and prevents others from booking.

Tickets cannot be transferred to another session or date.

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to another player for the same session only. It is the responsibility of the original ticket holder to organise this replacement.

If a ticket is transferred, the original ticket holder must notify Spike Volleyball prior to the event with the replacement player’s name so organisers can update attendance records.

Spike Volleyball is not responsible for organising replacements or facilitating transfers between players.

8. Event Changes & Cancellations

Spike Volleyball reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify events due to unforeseen circumstances including venue availability, safety concerns, or other factors outside of our control.

Where possible, participants will be notified in advance of any changes.

In the case of a cancellation initiated by Spike Volleyball, participants may be offered a credit toward a future session or an alternative arrangement where appropriate.

9. Agreement to Terms

By registering for or attending a Spike Volleyball event, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

10. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to all participants attending Spike Volleyball events, regardless of whether they personally purchased the ticket.

If a ticket holder transfers their spot to another player, it is the responsibility of the original ticket holder to inform the replacement player of these Terms & Conditions.

By attending or participating in a Spike Volleyball event, all participants are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

Spike Volleyball reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone who has not agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

11. Venue & Facility Use

Participants must respect the venue, equipment, and facilities being used during Spike Volleyball events.

Players are expected to follow all venue rules, including footwear requirements, restricted areas, and any instructions provided by organisers or venue staff.

Any damage caused to venue property, equipment, or facilities as a result of intentional misuse or reckless behaviour may result in the responsible participant being required to cover the cost of repair or replacement.

Spike Volleyball reserves the right to remove any participant who fails to follow venue rules or whose behaviour risks damage to the facility.

12. Player Registration

Only players who have secured a valid ticket or confirmed registration for a Spike Volleyball session may participate in games.

Participants may not bring additional players to join a session unless those players have registered and secured a spot through the official booking process.

This policy ensures fair access to sessions, as spaces are limited and sessions often reach capacity.

Spike Volleyball reserves the right to decline participation to any unregistered players in order to maintain safe player numbers and court capacity.
