REFUNDS
I understand that my course payment is non-refundable, except in exceptional circumstances such as severe medical situations that prevent my attendance. In these circumstances, a refund request may be considered at the discretion of Becoming Mum, less a $30 administration fee.
If the course has already commenced, I understand that refunds will not be provided for missed sessions, changes in personal circumstances, or inability to attend.
CANCELLATION OR CHANGES BY BECOMING MUM
Becoming Mum reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule a course where necessary.
In the unlikely event that Becoming Mum cancels a course, participants will receive a full refund of the course fee paid.
HEALTH & WELLBEING DISCLAIMER
I understand that Becoming Mum provides general education, information, resources, and peer support around postpartum wellbeing, motherhood, and early parenting.
The information shared throughout the course is intended to support and empower parents and does not replace personalised medical, health, nutritional, mental health, or professional advice.
I understand that every mother, baby, and family’s circumstances are unique. I am responsible for making decisions that are appropriate for myself and my baby and agree to seek advice from qualified health professionals when required.
Becoming Mum encourages participants to consult with their healthcare providers regarding any concerns relating to their own health, recovery, mental wellbeing, feeding journey, or their baby’s health and development.
I understand that Becoming Mum does not guarantee specific outcomes from participation in the course, as every parent, baby, and family situation is different.
GUEST SPEAKERS & EXTERNAL PROFESSIONALS
I understand that Becoming Mum may invite guest speakers or external professionals to share information and education as part of the course.
Any information provided by guest speakers or external professionals is provided by those individuals in their professional capacity. Participants are encouraged to seek personalised advice from appropriate professionals where required.
HEALTH, SAFETY & EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
Becoming Mum aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
If an emergency occurs during a session, Becoming Mum will take reasonable steps to assist, including contacting emergency services where required.
I understand that Becoming Mum is not responsible for providing medical treatment or emergency healthcare, and I remain responsible for seeking appropriate medical support for myself and my baby when needed.
PARTICIPANT HEALTH & INDIVIDUAL NEEDS
I agree to inform Becoming Mum of any relevant health, accessibility, allergy, or safety considerations that may affect my participation or the wellbeing of my baby.
I understand that this information will be treated respectfully and used only where necessary to support a safe and inclusive environment.
PARTICIPATION & RESPONSIBILITY
I understand that participation in Becoming Mum is voluntary and I am responsible for my own wellbeing and the supervision, care, and safety of my baby/child while attending sessions.
I acknowledge that Becoming Mum is a parent education and support programme and does not provide childcare services.
CONFIDENTIALITY & COMMUNITY
I understand that Becoming Mum is a safe and supportive space where participants may share personal experiences, stories, and information about their motherhood journey.
I agree to respect the privacy of other participants and not share personal information, photographs, or discussions from the course or private Facebook group outside of the group without permission.
I agree to contribute to a supportive and respectful environment where all participants’ experiences, choices, privacy, and perspectives are respected.
PHOTOGRAPHY & CONTENT CONSENT
I understand that any consent for photographs, videos, or content captured during Becoming Mum sessions is managed through the booking process.
I understand that I have the option to provide or decline consent for myself and my baby/child to be included in photographs or videos used for Becoming Mum marketing, promotional material, or social media.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
While Becoming Mum takes reasonable care to provide a safe, supportive, and informative environment, I acknowledge that participation in the course involves personal responsibility and that individual experiences, circumstances, and outcomes may vary.
To the extent permitted by law, Becoming Mum is not responsible for loss, injury, or outcomes arising from circumstances outside of its reasonable control or from decisions made based on general educational information provided during the course.
