These Terms apply to all events organised by Ia Ara Aotearoa Transporting New Zealand (TNZ), including conferences, seminars, workshops, webinars and networking events.
1. Member Pricing
Member pricing is available to current financial members of TNZ and staff of the member’s organisation, unless otherwise stated.
Where an event includes guest, partner, or companion tickets, those tickets may also be eligible for member pricing where specified on the event registration page.
If a non-member registers using a member-priced ticket, TNZ reserves the right to cancel the registration or issue an invoice for the difference between the member and non-member rate. Registrations are not fully confirmed until any outstanding balance has been paid.
2. Fees and Payment
Prices are as published on the registration page and exclude GST unless stated otherwise. Payment is required at registration unless otherwise approved. Registration is confirmed once payment is received. Credit card surcharges may apply.
3. Changes to Registrations and Transfers
All requests to transfer a registration to another person must be submitted in writing by the registered attendee or their organisation.
Transfers may be accepted up to the date specified for the relevant event, or if no date is specified, at TNZ’s discretion.
Late transfer requests may be accepted, however TNZ cannot guarantee:
• dietary requirements can be accommodated
• name badges or attendee lists can be updated
• venue security requirements can be amended
• operational or catering changes can be made without additional cost
Any costs incurred as a result of a late transfer may be charged to the attendee or organisation.
4. Cancellations, Refunds and No-Shows
If you can no longer attend, please notify TNZ as soon as possible so your place may be offered to others. Cancellation requests must be made in writing. Unless otherwise stated on the event page:
• More than 14 days before event: full refund
• 7 to 14 days before event: 50% refund
• Less than 7 days before event: no refund
No-shows are not eligible for refunds and TNZ may charge a $50 + GST no-show fee, or a higher reasonable amount where catering, venue or other committed costs have been incurred.
TNZ may change the date, venue, speakers, programme or format if required. If TNZ cancels an event, liability is limited to a refund of the registration fee paid.
5. Conduct and Admission
Attendees must behave respectfully and comply with venue rules and lawful directions. TNZ or the venue may refuse entry or remove any person without refund for safety, disruptive behaviour, incorrect tickets, damage, intoxication or non-compliance.
6. Photography and Recording
Photos, video and audio may be taken for TNZ promotional, reporting or archival purposes. By attending, you consent to such use unless you notify TNZ in writing before the event. TNZ will take reasonable steps to honour requests.
7. Privacy and Information Sharing
By registering, you agree TNZ may collect, use, store and share your information for event administration, attendee lists, communications, invoicing, future promotions and sponsor or exhibitor engagement. TNZ may share your registration details with approved sponsors, exhibitors, venues and service providers involved in delivering or supporting the event, unless you advise TNZ otherwise before the event.
8. Intellectual Property
Event materials and content remain the property of TNZ or relevant presenters/sponsors. Recording, reproducing or distributing content without permission is prohibited.
9. Disclaimer and Liability
Views expressed by speakers are their own. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TNZ is not liable for loss, damage or injury arising from attendance or reliance on event content.
10. Amendments
TNZ may update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms apply once published.
11. Acceptance
By registering for or attending an event, you agree to these Terms.
