Join us at The Dukes for a preview screening of The Premiere, a new short film made in Lancaster, before it begins its festival journey.
A celebrated British film director returns home for the screening of his latest work. What begins as a triumphant homecoming, full of red-carpet glamour and audience adoration, takes an unexpected turn during the post-screening Q&A, as past and present collide and long-buried secrets threaten to unravel a carefully constructed reputation.
The film is deeply rooted in the city and its creative community. Our cast includes Lancaster University alumni, more than 60% of our crew were Lancaster Film students and recent graduates, and over 160 supporting artists from Lancaster and the surrounding area joined us on set.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with writer-directors Enni Red and Darren Henderson and lead actors Nicola Harrison and Roger Ashton-Griffiths.
