As part of Trauma-Informed Cumbria, Dr Sheena Webb will be conducting a training looking at “Relational Practice through a Trauma Informed Lens”. This will be a 2 hour online bespoke session followed by a Q&A session, taking place online on Wednesday 13th March 2024 at 10am-12pm.This training will have particular focus on the need for practitioners to recognise their own emotional responses and self-protective behaviours. Aiming to contextualise common engagement struggles in a person’s experience and reflect on the realities of applying trauma- informed care within the day-to-day pressure of the frontline. Learners will be challenged to consider how trauma-related responses impact upon working relationships and how practitioner language and behaviour can trigger trauma related responses, encouraging learners to practice noticing their own processes and reflecting upon their own practice.
