This film reveals the extraordinary life of Fanny Mendelssohn, a composer long neglected by the music world, and reveals that the lost masterpiece Easter Sonata, attributed to her brother and musical genius Felix Mendelssohn, was actually composed by Fanny. And, in an unforgettable moment, pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason performs the Easter Sonata for the first time as originally written in public.
