Orchestral Day 2024
About
We would like to invite your child(ren) to Trinity School for a fun day of orchestral playing. The standard for the day is grade 2 or above on an orchestral instrument and is open to pupils aged 8-12. Players of a higher standard will also be catered for by more challenging repertoire. We also have a limited number of places for saxophone players, who must be at least grade 3.Our team for the day will be made up of full-time staff as well as some of our visiting music specialists, all of whom are active performers and distinguished teachers in their own right.
The orchestra will learn new repertoire, to be played at the end of the day in an informal concert. This is always a mixture of classical music and something more modern like film music. We will be exploring things the children have learned in their instrumental lessons, reinforcing the work of their teachers, as well as introducing new skills, opening new musical avenues and providing new tools.
