The joyous Winter Concert is rapidly approaching and you’re in for a treat! A dazzling showcase of our choirs, orchestras and ensembles, it’s so popular we run it twice – on Friday and Sunday. There will be music from Shostakovich to Back to the Future and from Rimski-Korsakov to Operation Mincemeat, amongst many other highlights. The traditional Thirds’ world première, written for them by our Composer-in-Residence, Mr Ashe, is entitled Momentum and takes in the world of Tangos, Waltzes and Ballet. This performance by over a hundred Thirds, singing in four-part harmony and accompanied by a live band, is a rite of passage, evidenced by the fact that many of the Upper Sixth can still sing you their own piece, seven years later (Bless).
It's going to be a stunning concert, with performances by all six choirs, Symphony Orchestra, Senior Strings, Sinfonietta, the LEH String Society, Percussion and Flute Ensembles plus Brass Band and Off-the-Cuff. See you there!
Please email the box office if you have limited mobility or access requirements.
Please note that the Boxoffice@lehs.org.uk email is monitored during school hours Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm.
