We are delighted to welcome retreatants back to Stonyhurst College for our celebration of the Easter Triduum, in this special 50th Anniversary year of the Stonyhurst Holy Week Retreat.The Retreat will run from Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday 2026. Our theme this year, “Remain With Me,” invites us to stay close to Christ through the sacred days of His Passion, Death and Resurrection, and to reflect prayerfully on what it means to walk with Him amid the challenges and hopes of our world.
Over the course of the long weekend, retreatants will be led by the College Chaplaincy Team, together with Jesuits from around the world, through a rich programme of conference talks, guided reflection, and full participation in the liturgies of the Sacred Triduum. There will also be opportunities to rejoice in music through both the professional and Retreatant Choir and shared worship in the heart of Holy Week.
Guests are accommodated on the Stonyhurst campus, sharing meals and community life throughout the Retreat. Families are warmly welcomed, with dedicated programmes for children and young people led by experienced Catholic Youth Ministry groups, alongside a young adult programme offering space for conversation, formation and fellowship.
Through prayer, reflection, and the beauty of Stonyhurst’s sacred setting and historic treasures, we hope these days will offer a renewed encounter with Christ and a deepening of faith as we journey together towards Easter.
Practical Information:
Stonyhurst is a large historic site, with some walking required between accommodation, dining, and retreat venues. We encourage guests to consider this when booking, and our team is very happy to advise on accessibility or any individual needs in advance.
