This new cycle tour of all Preston’s historic bridges will begin at Old Penwortham Bridge. The route uses a four and a half mile section of the Guild Wheel and ends at ‘Halfpenny Bridge’ at Brockholes. En route we will explore the context in which the Ribble's bridges were built and their impact, socially, strategically and economically on the development of Preston.
Cyclists are responsible for the road worthiness of their cycle and are advised to wear a helmet.
