We cordially invite you to one of Cumnor’s highlights of the year – our Shakespeare Play. This year, the outgoing Year 8’s will be performing ‘Romeo and Juliet’ in the Garden Theatre on Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd July.
The performance will run for approximately two hours including an interval when refreshments will be served.
This is a whole school event to which all parents and Prep aged children are invited. The performances begin at 8.00pm and families are invited to picnic in the grounds beforehand. Year 8 parents and guests are invited for drinks and a catered picnic supper, from 5.30pm and food will be served until approximately 7pm, as part of their leavers’ celebrations – please indicate when booking tickets if you would like to attend.
Friends and family are most welcome and children are very much encouraged to attend. The Year 8 Shakespeare performance is a longstanding Cumnor tradition that inspires many of our younger performers. Please make sure you bring plenty of warm clothing and blankets in case of a chilly evening. Children may bring sleeping bags with them if they would like to! In the unfortunate event of wet weather, the performance will take place in the main theatre.
