About

Meikle Richorn is a new addition to our existing dairy farm business at Kirkpatrick Durham where we hosted Open Farm Sunday in 2024. This new unit is for all our dairy young stock and arable crops. It sits in a unique spot being a ‘peninsula’ between Dalbeattie and the harbour town of Kippford. We are making a lot of changes to utilise the land which includes areas of woodland, estuary and salt marsh. On the day we want everyone to explore the unique landscape as well as understand a little bit more about what we do on the farm. To help there will be a mapped out walk around the fields as well as a tractor trailer to take visitors to various spots. There will be stalls and activities in the farm buildings for everyone to interact with and refreshments of teas, coffees and Ice creams available. We are also excited that some of the local 4x4 club will be demonstrating their skills on the steep rocky terrain at Meikle Richorn. We Look forward to seeing you on the 8th of June!
