About
Join an immersive guided foraging walk along the River Lune Estuary.Foraging for wild food and wild medicine offers a wealth of opportunities to connect with the wild side of nature.
You will learn ways of identifying plants, about their properties and how best to prepare them, as well as some historical uses and folklore.
This is a "slow" event lasting between 3-4 hours.
We are likely to cover less than 8 miles.
There will be some uneven terrain and potentially slippery surfaces.
Please wear suitable footwear and come prepared to walk whatever the weather, including full sun or heavy rain.
Suitable for beginners and those with some foraging experience.
This walk will be led by Julia Russell, local herbalist and member of the Association of Master Herbalists, who has 25 years experience of leading foraging walks.
