Rag Rug Making Talk & Workshop

About
Always wanted to use multi-coloured fabric to do something creative and fun, that's not too fiddly? We will show you how to make your own miniature rug, table mat or fabric picture! Local historian Heather will give a short illustrated talk on the backstory of the art of 'proddy' and 'hooky'. Steph will then guide you through the process of making a rug step-by-step. You will be making your own piece of textile art! Of course you will be able to take your rag rug creations home. All materials supplied - no need to bring anything. You will take home a rag rug hook, a piece of hemmed hessian and a range of rag rug materials to carry on with. A delicious home-made light lunch is also offered (included in the price). Tea and coffee served to you throughout the session. Ticket-holding 13-18s welcome to attend but they must be accompanied by a ticket-holding carer. Join us for three hours of relaxing 'me time' and come away with your own original fabric masterpiece!Date
