In this online session, Jonathan Rose from Advocacy charity wearepeoplefirst will cover all essential areas of Advocacy, from what it is and how it works, to practical guidance on how to do it most effectively.By the end of the session, you will have a good understanding of:
• the key features, process and impact of advocacy
• the relevant legislation and standards
• the different groups who require advocacy and the challenges they face
• the roles and responsibilities of an advocate
• techniques for effective communication
• rights, entitlements and key procedures
The cost of the session is £10 for LDCVS members and £15 for non-members.
