'Developing Children's Oracy Through Maths Webinar' for Childminders on Thursday 9th October 7.00pm-8.30pm.
Long term studies have found that early speech, language & communication difficulties can predict later outcomes. Children who struggle with language at age 5 are 6 times less likely to reach the expected standard in English at age 11 than children who had good language skills at age 5 and 10 times less likely to achieve the expected level in Maths.
This webinar will explore ways in which talk‑rich maths experiences can be provided to children - through which their mathematical understanding can be deepened so learners grow in confidence.
