About
Many children with Down Syndrome find numeracy challenging as it requires abstract thinking. However, numeracy skills are crucial for future independence and everyday life. We will look at how numeracy skills can be supported using visual resources such as Numicon and Maths for Life and the tools available to help you assess and monitor progress.Throughout the session, we will look at strategies and techniques to promote your pupils' understanding of maths that you can implement into your own teaching practice.
This course is useful for children in KS1 and beyond.
