Come along to sit down to a lovely 2-course meal, followed by coffee, at the West Retford Hotel, then join Meridith Towne as she rolls up her sleeves and enrols at the Glasgow School of Art c.1890 to discover the talent and creativity of the women of the Arts and Crafts Movement. A dazzling array of skills will be showcased and we will uncover some of the radical new fashions these lady artists liked to make, decorate and wear in her talk entitled “May Morris and the Glasgow Girls.”Choose a main course options of roast chicken breast served with pink peppercorn sauce, grilled salmon fillet with sundried tomato and basil butter sauce or mediterranean vegetable hot pot with toasted bloomer bread. The pudding choices are: lemon tart with berry coulis, salted caramel and chocolate brownie served with toffee sauce or sticky toffee & date pudding with custard.
Open to WI members and non-members.
