Woodcut Printing

About
Course Location: Bluecoat Intaglio Studio Experience Level: Beginners & people needing a refresher into the process Duration: The course runs for one day (11:00am - 5:00) with a break for lunchThis one day session will teach you the basics of woodcut printing, a relief printing technique which utilises the unique texture of the wood grain to produce beautiful prints.
Wood-cut is a technique whereby a design is carved into a wooden block leaving a raised design, which is printed revealing a distinct wood grain texture and tactile quality in the image.
