Shaping Education, Training, Health & Wellbeing Together
About
The Lancaster District is one of the largest in our county and also contains some of the most deprived wards. We'd like to know how we can create more opportunities for collaboration around improving health, wellbeing and incomes through education and training.
Over the past two years, Lancaster District Community and Voluntary Solutions and Lancaster and Morecambe College, supported by Lancaster City Council’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund, have worked together to deliver training and upskilling opportunities through the Community Learning Network.
Join us to discuss how we can increase our impact at a special event hosted by Lancaster and Morecambe College on 20 October.
By bringing opportunities directly into communities and places, the Network has begun to open new pathways to skills, employment and improved outcomes.
Our district is known for strong partnerships across sectors and communities, consistently achieving more by working together. We know that when we strengthen these partnerships, we build programmes that transform lives.
By connecting strategic priorities across sectors, we can make life-changing differences for residents.
We warmly invite you to join a roundtable discussion which will co-design the next stage of the Network, creating opportunities that raise aspirations across the Lancaster District.
Key insights & speakers: evidence and perspectives on the links between education, health, wellbeing, and place.
Development opportunities: explore practical ways we can work together to reduce inequalities and boost opportunities.
Networking and collaboration: connect with partners across the public sector, education, VCFSE organisations and communities.
We hope you can join us to help shape practical, collaborative solutions that make a real difference in Lancaster District. Whether that’s expanding community-based programmes, creating wellbeing initiatives that connect education and health, supporting young people into employment and training, or strengthening community venues as spaces for learning - we'd really appreciate your voice.
