A lovely short, historic festive walk, ideal for beginners.

This is an easy-going, 5-mile stroll through the Tillingbourne valley in the heart of the Surrey Hills, led by Pete Lambert.

• Location: Shere and Albury area.

• Distance: 5 miles.

• Highlights: Explores three historic churches, takes you through the Tillingbourne valley and rhododendron woods, and offers views of the surrounding hills.

• Start Time: 9:00 AM prompt.

Preparation Checklist

• Attire: Dress for the weather in comfortable clothes, walking shoes, or boots.

• Supplies: Bring fluids to drink and any snacks you may need. Be prepared for conditions that may be cold and muddy.

• Dogs: Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead through farmland and the Albury Estate.

Post-Walk

• There will be an opportunity to have a drink at the White Horse country pub in the village after the walk.
