Family Adventures with Autism Together

Welcome to Family Adventures, a brand-new programme created to give those on a referred pathway and autistic children, young people and their families the chance to enjoy fun, accessible experiences together, completely free of charge and supported by Autism Together's Advice and Support Officer. 

These sessions are designed to: 

• Offer relaxed, supportive activities for the whole family
• Create opportunities to try new things in a low-pressure environment
• Build connections with other families 
• Seek support and advice from a member of our team 

How it Works

1. Explore the calendar - take a look at our events calendar to see upcoming Family Adventure sessions; including dates, times and activity details. 
2. Register your interest - if you see an event you would like to attend, submit your details. This is not a booking, it simply lets us know that you'd like to be considered. We will ask a series of quiestions which are all mandatory, please provide as much detail as you can or type 'N/A' if its not applicable to you. We are gatheirng this data to help ensure we contiue to run these great sessions and explore other services we could introduce to better support families with a child with autism and those waiting for a diagnosis or further support. 
3. We will be in touch - After the registration window closes, our team will contact families who have been gifted a space and provide all the details needed before their session; including visual guides. We will also let others know they have not been successful on this occasion. 

All family adventure sessions are free to attend; we do our very best to ensure families get an equal access to these events and due to popular demand not everyone will be successful. We welcome the whole family (including siblings) to attend these events, on some sessions you just need to let us know how many children will be attending and on others you will need to say how many children and adults. 

We are working closely with venues to provide these wonderful events; each venue offers something different for all abilities and interests and each are using different ways to make these more accessible. You can read more about the events when you click on the calendar options.
