Grief Awareness & Literacy
About
Grief Awareness & Language WorkshopLet’s build a more grief-informed Bolton – one conversation at a time.
When someone is grieving, it’s not just sadness – it’s exhaustion, isolation, overwhelm, and silence.
And too often, the people around them don’t know what to say or do.
This face-to-face workshop at Bolton Arena is designed to change that.
It’s not just about grief awareness – it’s about prevention. Preventing breakdowns in communication, in mental health, in community connection.
Whether you’re supporting a friend, a colleague, a pupil, or someone in your family – your words matter.
In this session, you’ll learn how to:
✔ Understand what grief really looks and sounds like
✔ Feel confident having conversations after loss
✔ Know what to say – and what not to say
✔ Use language that supports, not shuts down
✔ Hold space for others without needing to fix them
✔ Support your workplace, school, or community with practical empathy
Delivered by grief specialists who bring a powerful mix of lived, learned, and listened-to experience – combining professional insight with real-life understanding.
Everything we share is rooted in the conversations we’ve had, the people we’ve supported, and the losses we’ve walked through ourselves.
