Throughout 2026 FoodFutures is supporting North Lancashire to work towards a Gold Sustainable Food Places Award - a process that will involve evidencing and celebrating the amazing range of work already happening across the district whilst also supporting the development of strategic work that supports a "thriving local food system that is healthy, resilient and fair".This day is for everyone (individuals and organisations) interested in supporting this journey and will be a final opportunity to share work and plans related to the Gold Award submission.
You will:
- Have a better understanding the Gold Award process for North Lancashire
- Share your own work and aspirations for inclusion in the GOLD campaign submission
- Shape next steps for realising the ‘Our FoodFutures’ 10-year community food strategy
- Be well fed and have chance to connect with others doing amazing work around local food in the district
The full timetable and venue for the day will be shared at the end of January. Book is essential - to support with catering and avoiding food waste.
