Make @ The Minories
About
Thursday mornings see the start of our new course ‘Make @ The Minories’.Aimed at both beginners and the more experienced these hands-on sessions are designed to develop your 3D making skills through the exploration of traditional craft techniques and contemporary materials.
The sessions will be led by highly experienced maker and educator Sara Barker.
Whether you come along for a single session or join us weekly, you will develop your skills, explore different processes and learn more about the contemporary craft world.
In weeks 1 to 3, we will be exploring wire / metal work.
In weeks 4 to 6, the focus will be on textile and embellishments.
From week 7 to 9, papercraft is the topic.
More themes will be added in consultation with participants.
Make @ The Minories aims to create a community of practice around making, where all are welcome to explore craft and making in a safe and inspiring space
The sessions will be complimented by short or one-off specialist courses where you can continue to explore and experiment.
