Online VAWG Prevention Resources: Lunchtime Learning
About
Do you work with young people? Are you passionate about making online spaces safer?Join us for our Young Women Know ‘Online VAWG Prevention Resources: Lunchtime Learning for Practitioners’ event where you will hear directly from young women about what they need from us to make that happen, a viewing of the videos, presented by the young women themselves, and the chance to ask your questions in a special Q&A segment.
The Young Women’s Movement came together with local schools and community groups to explore potential online harms, building on the legacy and learning of our award-winning Young Women Know programme, developed and run in partnership with NSPCC Scotland between March 2020 & March 2025.
Young women participants have created a further 4 video resources aimed at preventing online VAWG, which highlight their experiences and act as a guide for practitioners in the youth work space. These videos will be shared on the day and shall become part of the existing suite of YWK resources.
Themes include: AI imagery and videography, online misogyny, consent and reporting, and online safety
Together, we can learn to be better equipped to handle the developing pressures and harms facing young people in their digital world.
This work was funded by Inspiring Scotland, Delivering Equally Safe.
