Director Jessi Gutch moves to Folkestone's white cliffs, a Brexit-voting small town, where tensions rise between 'woke' progressives and conservatives nostalgic for Empire and English influence. The film is turned on its head as Jessi meets seven characters embodying hope for a community of messy inclusivity and English identity, traversing racial, political, and class borders.
