Join Cumbria Arts and Culture Network for a special FREE Big Meet aimed at young people* who want to understand how the arts and culture sector works in Cumbria.Wondering what the Arts Council is, where to find jobs, what support is available, how funding works, or how to meet people in the sector? No question is too daft to ask.
This session is a chance for your voice to be heard and listened to, while also hearing from people who have been there and are doing it. You’ll hear from people working in real jobs across the Cumbrian creative industries, both within organisations and as independent artists.
Come along for top tips on how to break into the sector, make new contacts, and meet others at a similar stage from different creative backgrounds.

* When we say young, we mean ages 16–30 (ish). But the event is open to anyone who feels it would be useful or would like to network.
We do not want cost to be a barrier to attending the Big Meet, so we have created a small number of £30 travel bursaries for young creatives wishing to attend should you need it. The bursary is for travel expenses getting to and from the event. To apply, please email us on hello@cacn.co.uk with a short explanation of the circumstances.
