Fruit Tree Grafting Workshop

Join Dr Rod Everett at Summerhouse Community Farm on Friday 13 March from 11:00 - 13:00 to learn about tree grafting - an ancient practice that preserves varieties and propagates new fruit trees. Grafting produces a replica tree and can be used to replace an old 'worn out' apple or pear tree-Hands on introduction to the basics of tree grafting.
-Learn about different rootstocks and how they influence final tree height.
- Practice!
Trees grafted will be planted around Summerhouse Community Farm. There will also be the option to take away a grafted tree for a donation too.
Tools will be provided but if you have Stanley knife or similar please bring it along if you can do so safely.
Booking is essential.
