Join us for a full day of hands-on hedgelaying at Babbinswood Farm with Josh, learning the traditional rural skill of laying hedges and why it still matters today.This practical day will guide you through the basics of hedgelaying, with a strong focus on:
🌱 Supporting wildlife and biodiversity
🌿 Hedge regeneration and long-term landscape health
🐑 Natural stock-proof boundaries for farms
Josh will also talk about what happens after the hedge is laid — exploring the many uses of hedge brash, including biochar and other sustainable, creative applications.

This day is suitable for beginners and anyone interested in traditional land skills, conservation, farming, or nature-based practices.
We do not recommend young kids participate in this session. So we have said 16 as a minimum age however we are happy to discuss this on an individual basis as we want to be as inclusive as possible.
