About
We are delighted to announce that, for the first time, the much loved OBA Luncheon is opening its doors to all generations of BGS alumni. Building on the cherished traditions of the event, this expanded gathering invites former pupils from across the decades to return to school for an afternoon of good food, great company and shared memories. We will be joined by Headmaster Dr Simon Hinchliffe, Mr Jed Boardman, Deputy Head, and Old Bradfordian Nigel Cameron (1971), who will be our guest speaker.
Join us for a special occasion filled with nostalgia, conversation and the chance to reconnect with familiar faces—and meet new ones too.

Dr Nigel Cameron:
Since he left BGS in 1971 Nigel Cameron has been a professor in three north American universities, and spent a decade leading a Washington think tank on technology policy. He has written/edited books about robots and jobs, medical ethics, and religious history, but in "retirement" is now focused on serious biography. His biography of former US Surgeon General Koop came out last year (University of Massachusetts Press), and he is working on the first biography of Ruth Barnhouse, poet Sylvia Plath's psychiatrist. And he is also writing about BGS back in the middle decades of the 20th century, and the lives of some of the remarkable teachers who gave all or most of their careers to the school.
Nigel and his wife Anna live in Brussels, where they have added to their various children and grandchildren two little Syrian/German kids assigned to them for long-term fostering. They love having visitors!
Tickets:
£30 per person, payable upon booking. Please note; TryBooking fees will be applied at checkout for each ticket purchased.
We look forward to welcoming you back to school for what promises to be a warm, lively and memorable afternoon.
