Join us in The Armitt for a drawing workshop inspired by the incredible scientific drawings of Beatrix Potter. In this introductory workshop, we will be using graphite and coloured pencil to create detailed and true-to-life drawings of plants and objects. There will also be the chance to look at archival drawings by Potter, which are not currently on show - exciting!This workshop is open to people of all abilities.
Paper and equipment will be provided - but feel free to bring anything with you!
About the artist
Meg Bowyer is an artist in the South Lakes. She is interested in the overlap of ecology and industry in Cumbria, and works across writing, drawing, and sculpture. She studied Fine Arts at Lancaster University and got her Master's in Drawing from Paris College of Art. Meg is also a creative producer and has had the privilege of working in history collections across the North West.
