About
Blackwork is an historic counted-thread embroidery, traditionally stitched on fine linen in black thread to create precise geometric and floral patterns. Kantha stitching, from India, uses simple running stitches to transform layered recycled fabrics into story-rich textiles.This workshop will allow you to learn both techniques.
Fabric, embroidery thread and sewing needles will be provided.
Please bring the following with you:
Small ruler or tape (with inches) / Embroidery scissors / Reading glasses if required or a magnifying glass / Packed lunch.
