Habeas Corpus
About
Written in 1973, this classic stage comedy by the renowned playwright and author Alan Bennett explores the eccentricities of the English middle class and centres on a dysfunctional family, the Wicksteeds. The antics at the Wicksteed home are a satirical merry-go-round. Family, friends and the sexual satisfaction of the "corpus" (body) are the ruling passions in this farcical comedy of ill-manners. Through a dance of mistaken identities and carnal encounters, one motto holds fast: "He whose lust lasts, lasts longest."Doors and bar open at 7:00pm. Performance starts at 7:30pm.
