History Talks @ The Minories: Georgian and Victorian ColchesterColchester is probably best known for the important part it played in the invasion by the Romans in the 1st century, but it continued to grow and develop, with layer upon layer making it into the city we now know. Where The Minories is situated is in the ‘posh’ part of our city,
with elegant and stylish houses spreading from where High Street ends, and East Hill begins.
Di Bignel will tell you how these came to be – and how to spot the influences behind the design of our Georgian and Victorian properties.
