Poetry bat walk
About
Join Habitats & Heritage and Dr Briony Hughes for a bat walk with a poetic twist! This completely free event will start in our historic chapel with a talk about the fascinating world of bats, and an introduction to Briony's ecopoetry project. We will then head out into the Old Burial Ground with bat detectors to see what species we can spot, and listen to Briony recite some nature themed poetry while we listen to the calls of the bats. All ages welcome and no previous bat knowledge required!Location: To access Grove Gardens Chapel please walk across the middle of the park from Lower Grove Road straight towards the chapel. Please note that there is another chapel at the end of the park which is a private residence, so please do not head to that one! You can find the correct location by typing "FP46+24 Richmond" into Google maps.
Accessibility: The chapel is wheelchair accessible with an accessible toilet. The walk will be step free on grass paths which may be uneven.
